I wrapped a piece of cobalt blue beach glass with silver wire. This comes with a 24 inch silver plated rope chain. The glass piece was polished by the Pacific Ocean.

Cobalt blue glass was made by adding the strong coloring agent cobalt oxide to the batch. A darker blue color could be produced by using a low oxygen reducing flame on the molten glass. Cobalt blue glass was used for a variety of items including inks, cosmetics, phosphate of soda, and even poison.

The color blue is associated with the element of water. The spiritual significance of water is many dimensional, like the sea itself. The sea represents ebb and flow, waves and calm, a constant balance of new beginnings and life's lessons.

The elemental symbol of water represents creativity and rebirth. It manifests itself as the ebb and flow of our existence. The sea was the first source of all life on earth, and we continue to discover new life forms from the depths of the ocean.

To me all rocks and crystals have certain energies, even glass. Glass is composed of some of the same elements as quartz crystals, and volcanic glass does occur naturally as well.
